Why is Ballet so important to dancers?Ballet is the foundation of all other dance forms. This art of dance was born in the18th Century and has continued to evolve into today’s worldrenowned entertainment. Ballet technique is written in French, the traditional language of dance. By learning the correct terminology of each dance movement will be easier to execute. Dancers are only made through hours of practicing technique to perfect control of every part of the mind and body. Congratulation to you, Parents, for giving your child a chance to build a beautiful, strong, healthy body & mind and to enter into the art of dancing.

Should my son take dance?Absolutely! It is equally important for boys to have the same opportunity to learn rhythm & timing, coordination, classroom etiquette and an appreciation for the performing arts. Dance will increase strength and flexibility, building a strong, healthy body that will help with all future sports programs and professions.
-
When can my child dance on pointe?Students vary greatly in terms of their musculoskeletal maturity, motor skill development and mental maturity. There is no magical age marker that is used to determine when a student can switch to point. The decision to allow dancers to begin pointe ballet work should be based on several factors including physical capability, skill sets, and mental maturity rather than by age. Many dancers require 4-5 years of training to achieve the technical requirements to begin pointe training.

My child is interested in Competitive Classes, how do we get involved?"Our competitive dance program is designed to provide students with more opportunities to expand their passion for dance. We focus on delivering a more in-depth dance education that emphasizes the importance of a strong technical foundation and continually builds on previous skills. The character and confidence that is built in this program reaches far beyond the dance studio. For more information and details talk to our office manager!
